Uk Retail Sales Slump As Shoppers Balk At Higher Prices And Cold Weather

Recommended Posts

Retail sales slumped in April after shoppers balked at rising prices and were reluctant to venture out to the high street in one of the coldest springs on record.

But but but inflation is going to create growth.....

how can they pay the rising prices when they don't have the money to pay the rising prices.....what are they thinking that money grows on trees........the people with too much of the green stuff have no need to buy more stuff..........eat steak everyday it becomes like a potato. ;)

Went to get petrol last night and after a hard day thought I might treat myself to some Revels. 75p for a small bag so I thought it can't be much more for a big one. £2.75 for a big one ffs so I didn't buy any.

Went to the Co-op to see if they were any cheaper and they were £2.45 there. So I didn't buy any.

No cash means no buying unless I get similarly inflated wages.

I liked when they sold the big bags for a quid and collected the tops to exchange for free cinema tickets. Trouble is I put on too much body fat.

In my area, lots of unemployed people have become indoor farmers and have begun to export their product for foreign currency, be it £s from the next town or even €s from the continent. These people are raided by the police, their crops are destroyed and they are forced back onto the dole or into prison.
