Penelope Keith Blames Divorced Middle-Aged Women For 'pushing Up House Prices'

Recommended Posts

I wonder how many divorced people with no children living at home end up with a 3 bed house?

I suspect there are loads. Two beds are often too small so people aim for the 3 bedrooms to have some space.

Its interesting, the last (2011) census revealed that the average household size actually is the same as it was 20 years ago. Supposedly it was going to fall away in this time, giving them an excuse to build all those pokey inner city flats.

Maybe there are more divorcees living alone, but its been offset by young people at the other end having to either live with parents or share with friends (plus the eastern europeans who live about 20 to a small terrace)
