Are You Moving Home? Itv Can Help...

Recommended Posts

Are you about to move into a new home or have you just moved in? Has saving for that big deposit left you strapped for cash with no clue as to how you'll furnish it? Maybe you're starting from scratch or about to rent a place with little cash for furniture and household items. We may be able to help...

ITV is making a special documentary to be broadcast this Summer and are looking for people who, with the help of our expert and a bit of imagination, can furnish their dream home on a shoestring.

'Someone’s trash is another person’s treasure' really is the motto here and as part of the programme we’ll be highlighting how effective reusing items can be - especially on our pockets!

So if you’re outgoing, happy to appear on TV and up for a bit of a challenge, then please do get in touch on 0161 952 1082 or at Claire.Archer@ITV.com.

Can you buy?

Are you an intern working for free?

Even if you have a good job, could you afford a house or flat?

Would it cost 8-12 times your salary?

At a time of crisis level interest rates - the lowest in 400 years - would you be paying a third or more of your take home pay for the mortgage?

Could you handle interest rates when they go back up to 5-8% base - so 7-10% to pay the bank plus the repayment?

Can you encourage someone at ITV to see reality rather than making 'reality TV'?

Can you tell them that young and old are hurting from insanely high house prices?

Good luck either way.

In all seriousness, there are quite a few people on here who could be the EXPERTS on such a show. They know how to live cheaply and imaginatively.
