Letting Agency Boss Disqualified For Tenants' Deposits Misuse

THE former director of a Leigh letting agency has been disqualified as a company director for seven years after failing to secure and pass on tenants’ deposits.

The company owed more than £60,000 of tenant and landlord deposits when it closed.

What is not clear is whether the tenants/landlords ever got their deposits back. And why not a jail sentence?
