Car Radio Aerial Repair

Recommended Posts

ok so the car radio aerial on my Clio was damaged either just a general failure or vandalised. I suspected a repair would be complex as looking at inside I could not see any obvious connections. A visit to the garage confirmed this with the tech at main dealer informing me as expected the whole interior roof lining would need to be taken down and would take an hour or two but car would be in garage all day. The cost of this repair £125 just labour and vat. I can only really listen to bbc radio stations on fm!

Dred to think what major work costs? These garages ( i did go to main dealer ) must rake it in!

I would try one of those car audio and general modification specialists, there are all sorts of after market solutions that could just replace the existing aerial. Don't be put off by the under car neon lighting, body kit and ridiculous alloys that these guys also sell. On the other hand, you may want to pimp up the clip whilst you're at it.

If you don't want to drop the headlining maybr just connect the new one up and mastic it to the roof from outside.
