'Record share' for buy-to-let deals

The buy-to-let sector now accounts for a record portion of total mortgage loans, according to lenders' data.

Due to those with savings deposits getting sick of very low returns. Of course, a non paying tenant and a bill for repairs very soon reduces rental returns to the same or below a savings account, but of course the media focus on the sunny meadows where landlords coin it in and tenants always pay up and have nothing more than a run down smoke alarm battery to badger the LL about.
