Beware Of The Spring Flounce

Recommended Posts

Our neighbour is trying to sell his gaff, no sign of any viewings over the last couple of weeks - lots of dandelions appearing in the lawns ... not much sign of a spring bounce there eh :o

If you're in the market for a property at this time of the year, beware of EAs trying to engineer a spring bounce in prices.

Happened here as well - back on the market from SSTC with 10k added. (All I can imagine is the buyer pulling out, complaining "It's just too cheap for a flat, I can't take it from you that low" ? )

Asking prices are certainly up in my neck of the woods and there is definitely some activity with houses marketed late last year going under offer or sstc.

I'm pretty sure that the agents rely on constantly nudging up asking prices on newly marketed properties just to make their old stock look better 'value' and drive sales of the older stock.
