1 Month Notice Period In Fixed Tenancy

Recommended Posts

I have a clause in my contract that states that the landlord must give 1 months notice before terminating the tenancy. It is a fixed 6 month contract. Any idea if this actually applies - I thought the 6 months was protected unless giving a Section 8 notice. The contract is a bit informal but does statute still apply - ie the minimum notice is 2 months anyway and cannot expire until last day of the tenancy?
