Just tell them you have a right to live in a property bigger than you can afford.

"Under the agreed policy, where the council's director of services for communities is satisfied that tenants subject to the under occupancy restrictions "have done all they can to avoid falling into arrears and are actively engaging with housing staff, they should not be evicted for failing to pay the part of their rent which is due to the new restrictions"."

Words don't mean actions.

Outside of the centre and select boroughs of Edinburgh its pretty crap, as is most of Scotland...where I live.

All those RBS cuts and lack of vision by the council are making a big mess for everyone.
