Recently, they have made big profits in Asia, break even in the Americas and losses in Europe. It makes sense to focus on cutting costs in Europe, while focusing on gaining market share and further profits in Asia and possibly latin America.

and yet they appear to be exiting China, which is a bit weird given that they're the hongkong and shanghai banksters, and re-orienting around europe.
