Land Reg March 2013

Recommended Posts

Up all of 0.1%.

From Twitter:

Land Registry@LandRegGov7hOur March HPI shows a monthly increase of 0.1%. Average house price in England and Wales now £161,793. Full #HPI out 29 April

Edit to add: Was over £162,600 last month, so actually a reasonable fall.

Amazing how these figures manage to just avoid turning negative so often.

Its getting beyond a joke now. I don't have a problem with revising the figures but I can't remember the last time the LR figures were revised upwards - I'm pretty certain that most if not all of the last 6 figures have been revised down. For example, last month's figure must have been revised from +0.2% to somewhere in the region of -0.4% to arrive at this!!

Not really when you have the power to 'adjust' the previous months figures .... not that they would do this to make the figure appear 'better' than they really are.

Anyone who has run a company knows how easy it is to 'adjust' figures. Provisions, revisions, moving sales/purchases from one month/year to the next, or vice versa, stock write-down, work in progress, the list is endless.
