Blackhorse Lane E17 Developments

Recommended Posts

I was told that anyone that lives around Blackhorse station in Walthamstow should have got a leaflet about some new developments that aims to build 625 homes and 35,600 sq m of new business space.

Does anyone have anymore info on this?

Who is the developer? or are we going to pay through higher council taxes.

One thing I have noticed is that tube station is already maxed out and train frequency is at 3mins in peak time.

Regeneration schemes step closer to share of £200 million funding pot

Press release 30th August 2005

Key regeneration schemes in Waltham Forest are a step closer to landing a share of a huge £200 million Government funding pot for projects which create new housing and jobs.

Walham Forest is one of only a handful of local authorities to be asked to develop detailed plans after submitting a bid to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) for Sustainable Communities funding.

Two projects at Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow, have been selected from nearly 700 bids submitted as "expressions of interest" for the funding programme.

The Council is asking for £2 million for a project to create a gateway to the borough around Blackhorse Road station, with a further £3 million sought for a wider regeneration project in the Blackhorse Lane area

I used to drink in the ‘Lord brook’ and go to the 18~30 social club :P
