Satellite Tv Lnb - Does An Lnbf Have A Filter?

Recommended Posts

Quick question to sat techies if any are out there:-

My satellite receiver (newly bought) needs a LNB (or LNC as some call it) in the dish arm with NO filter

The sat dish kit I bought comes with a GT-MINI S N.F.:0.2dB Universal Single Straight Mini Line LNBF.

Am I right in thinking the F in the LNBF means it has a feedhorn which is also known more commonly as a filter, and so is incompatible with the receiver (a Comag) ??

If so, can anyone recommend a cheap, cheerful but fairly good LNB without any sort of filter, please.

Answer: yes, solution is to use one without a filter.
