Speech By Rand Paul (Ron Paul's Son)

Recommended Posts

Things are of course never that simple, but a very impressive speech.

Summary at Reuters : http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/13/us-obama-speech-paul-idUSBRE91C0BR20130213:

(Reuters) - U.S. Senator Rand Paul blamed Republicans and Democrats for heavy government spending on Tuesday in an address responding to President Barack Obama's State of the Union speech on behalf of the small-government, fiscally conservative Tea Party movement.

"Both parties have been guilty of spending too much, of protecting their sacred cows, of backroom deals in which everyone up here wins, but every taxpayer loses," Paul said.

Paul, the son of former Republican Texas Representative Ron Paul, a libertarian and three-time presidential candidate, won his Kentucky Senate seat with strong support from the Tea Party.

Despite being a relatively junior senator, Paul, 50, has established himself as a strongly conservative voice on Capitol Hill, notably by telling then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last month that he would have fired her over the September attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.

Paul's remarks under the Tea Party banner prompted talk of division within the Republican Party. But Paul's speech echoed many themes in the official Republican response to Obama's remarks by Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, who like Paul was elected in 2010 with strong Tea Party support.

Rubio is one of the leaders of a bipartisan push for immigration reform in Congress, and Paul also said Republicans should push to overhaul immigration laws.

"We must be the party who sees immigrants as assets, not liabilities. We must be the party that says, 'If you want to work, if you want to become an American, we welcome you,'" said Paul, whose father was a Republican presidential candidate last year.

Paul had harsh words for Obama, calling for a balanced budget and accusing him of seeking to "squeeze" working people to fund higher spending and big government.

"Big government makes it more expensive to put food on the table. Big government is not your friend. The president offers you free stuff but his policies keep you poor," Paul said. Edited by easy2012

I fail to see how even one more immigrant is needed in the US when millions of US indigenous citizens are under-employed or out of work.

The only thing I can see it achieving is the zionista policies one of which is to water down the White pure-bloods cos they are seen as the major threat to the zionist cause

(they kicked their asses when they got out of control on many occassions in the past centuries.)

Thats why different cultures are being encouraged over the Euro-White cos Euro-White culture has been the way for centuries.

The Chinese etc still have to steal our ideas/inventions/intellectual property to make poor copies of them for instance.

He's a frickin idiot. Non whites will never vote republican. NEVER. Because however much they bend over backwards to appeal to minorities (or the soon to be majority) democrats will offer more. They cant afford not to.

The only way you want open borders it is you operate a true constitutional republic and do away with political democracy. Otherwise the left will always turn it into a white vs non white system and always win.

Best america can hope for is split into several new countries, based along racial/ethnic lines. Republicans would do well to push for that.

Let me get this straight: you think that it was left wing politicians who turned America into a racially divided society?

As for American ultra liberals like Rand and Ron Paul:

anyone who thinks that removing democratic government, but leaving in its place the powerful oligarchy which actually owns America, will somehow increase the freedom of ordinary Americans is entirely mad.

At the moment, the democratic process, however flawed and corrupt it is, is the only thing preserving their freedom from some actual tyrants.

American politics is pig farmers selling bacon to pigs.

If you check out Harvard, Yale, MIT, loads of other so-called top universities in UsA there is open discrimination against the majority White population with blacks and (J's) + lesser races given priority but NOT on MERIT.

(hint - Nearly All our party leaders/their 'advisors' have spent 3-odd years after Oxbridge at one of these places)

These have been "The source" of our major problems for decades (Big Business ideas imported to make Industrialists uber-rich whilst impoverising the population they lord it over) Dictator-'Professors' operating a Zionist monopoly approach plus all the other satanic yank crap spun out of these places to OUR population's detriment.

Just like the smirking Mona Lisa, wearing a green vestment, sits smirking in front of "Two Sources"

Nile delta = Alexandria

Rhine = main 'druid' teaching island at it's outflow the 'Dutch' Delta ((double dutch Meuse/Rhine?))

(Mona is Latin for Angle_sey = main druid island romans kicked them out to Ireland supposedly)

Funny how Prince William 'happened' to be based 'RAF Mona' there!

Sure. Its always been the left. The repubs got rid of slavery. The democrats were the governing force in the segregated south. The unions used to pit white men against asians when they were shipped in as strike busters. And now they see there is a soon to be non-white majority in the US, they will encourage hatred towards the materially wealthy whites, just as the national SOCIALISTS did towards Jews in germany. For the left, race is just another line upon which to divide and conquer.

The Tea Party seem a bit... well... mental.

It's like somebody mobilised the Fox Network.

The sort of nut jobs who might flag up Hitler as a socialist (when he in fact hijacked the word to steal votes from the communists and HATED socialism) to make an ill-judged and frankly moronic point about how it's only socialists who are evil (all the while missing the blatant irony inherent in them behaving a bit like Hitler themselves by attempting to hijack the S word).

Yes socialists can be evil.

So can capitalists.

So can anyone prescribing to any particular ideology.

If you think ideology overcomes individual greed more often than not on either side of the political spectrum than you're sadly mistaken (and frankly a f-ing idiot).

What?

Are you implying that a nation built on the African slave trade, and the genocide of its own native people, learned its racism from democratic politicians in the 1870s?

Or have I missed something?

Original "Rednecks" were Irish/Scottish cotton pickin SLAVES of Black & White plantation 'owners'

What on earth are you talking about?

Not everything in life boils down the arbitrary and childish divide between left and right, particularly the arbitrary and childish divide favoured by Americans in the last decade or so.

The politics of the past, for example, comes under this category. When William the conqueror attacked Harold Godwinson, they were not engaged in a struggle over the nature of socialised ******ing medicine.

Similarly, when millions of Africans were brutally transported to the new world, their captors were not trying to persuade them of the merits of a Keynesian fiscal stimulus. Nor was the murder of Native Americans the result of a poorly misjudged LGBT outreach program.

Of course I'm not entirely surprised that you think Hitler was on the left of the political spectrum, presumably along with other historical figures such as Ghengis Kahn, Skeletor and the Black-Death. Everyone who learned about politics from Glen Beck and internet conspiracy sites thinks the same way. I'm sure it makes them feel better about something for some reason, but I can't think what.

I suppose it helps to classify everything you don't like as left wing. What cereal do you want dear, oh just the right wing cereals for me darling. Frosties and that. None of those nasty left-wing bran flakes or shreddies or anything.

Trivialises politics of course, makes it really impossible to have a proper debate about anything more complicated than breakfast cereal, but that's sort of the point isn't it?

None of that difficult politics, less of those bothersome ideas. Troubled by too much thinking, here have a cliche, that'll soothe away those nasty nasty thoughts.

Collectivist would be a better charge, IMO.
