I was watching a documentary at the weekend,all about the San Francisco gold rush etc.They said:

Price of a House in San Francisco in 1849 - $16.50

By 1852 it was...... $45,000!

And we think we've got it bad!

reminds me of the 1920s Florida real estate boom.....when demand was so frenzied people had to put

'' NOT For Sale'' signs outside their houses!......Never seen that here !
