A late entrance..

Birmingham/west Midlands - Anyone Following This Area?

Recommended Posts

Sorry I have nothing to contribute as I've only just started keeping track. I've seen a few properties that have been turned over in <12months make a small loss, but all the decent properties (locationwise at least) do not seem to be suffering at all.

All the 'cash only' in need of refurbishments are gone in days.

Anyone else following this area that can offer some insight?

I intend to rent in Coventry for the next year at least, so I have stopped following the market in any detail. My impression is of lots of houses for sale for long periods. There seemed to be a spate of sold signs in late September/earlyOctober but this has died down now. Many houses are recycled through different agents and many also are advertised as 'no chain'. Connells in Kenilworth has (or had a few weeks ago) many properties with 'new price' stickers. Overall my impression is of sellers being unwilling to drop enough to attract buyers - and hence being on the market for months.

I'd be interested if anyone has taken a more systematic look.
