Burn For The Bulls !

Recommended Posts

Did anyone see this story in the Daily Mail today? A fire has destroyed a Primark warehouse, destroying £50m worth of stock.

Quote from the report: "But although around half of the retailer's UK stock was lost, the incident gave it an unexpected boost. After an early stutter, the share price of Primark's parent company soared, adding £130million to the company's market value.

By the close of trading, Associated British Foods PLC was 2.1 per cent up at 804.5p, after investors heard that Primark would be able to claw back its losses through insurance claims.

TO IMPROVE MATTERS FURTHER, PRIMARK WILL NOW NOT HAVE TO FACE THE DIFFICULTY OF SELLING ITS STOCK AMID A CLIMATE OF LOW CONSUMER CONFIDENCE "

First time I've heard of a fire being an improvement! This surely speaks volumes about the economy.
