She still owns the land though, right?

Even if it is under the sea. :D

She's probably now guilty of fly-tipping too.

Bit of speculation as to how she might've got where she is ...

She's a woman who's worked all her life in a mans world. Indeed, a tough environment. How has she coped with that?

Well, one way is to take full advantage: any time she doesn't get what she wants, play the "oppressed minority" card: scare everyone around her into compliance. And as a copper that should work particularly well: the general public would very rarely stand up to her, and public-sector Political Correctness would reinforce her position at work.

A lifetime of that and it must be practically inconceivable that an authority would continue to defy her. Even when that authority is a court.

A good summary of why this woman's behaviour has become so extraordinary....

In the face of overwhelming contract law 99.9% would have thrown in the towel ages ago irrespective of whatever axes they had to grind.

The judge in the case already has the bums rush with her, it can be long now till an order to sell the Chiswick home for realistic 'market value' is forthcoming.

Then this woman will have got everything she has deserved.....

But even once she's sold the London house and settled up all the outstanding monies she owes, she should still have enough for a very comfortable, if slightly more modest existence. I can't see what she's complaining about.

It usually is the more comfortable people who whinge the loudest. Take NIMBYism as an example.

For those of us who like to know the real detail behind the storey

http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Ch/2012/2900.html

In a word she is " barking"

Thanks for posting that - hilarious!

What a stupid lying pathetic bint, you can just sense her outrage at being told what to do by a judge let alone a pikey builder! The stupidity of someone who should know the legal system and how it works inside out is staggering.

The ease with which she can lie and squirm, always with an excuse conveniently to hand to justify her actions (or lack of) makes you wonder how thoroughly she investigated the many criminals she presumably put away. How credible is the evidence she has given in previous court cases in light of this? How much more convenient to just leave out bits you don't like (ie receiving legal docs) or add in a few uncorroborated allegations (theiving gypsies etc) and throw around some mitigation that suits you (dyslexic enough to be a factor, yet worked for decades in a buraecratic system writing, reading and submitting documents as evidence every day....hmmm ok then  ).

I'm glad the judge saw through all her excuses, although he should've thrown the book at her for wasting everyones time, contempt of court and making false declarations.

And annoying that she'll still have >£1/2 million left over.

DEMOLITION work has begun on Torquay's world-famous clifftop property, Ridgemont House.
Heavy machinery has arrived on site to begin the demolition of the house, which has become uninhabitable as clifftop erosion has brought it closer and closer to the edge.
The story of Ridgmont House, at Babbacombe, has gone around the world in newspapers and on TV since the erosion problems began.
Torbay Council is behind the demolition work, although the owner of the house will have to foot the bill, which will run into thousands of pounds.
