House Prices Rise At Fastest Pace In 15 Months!

Recommended Posts

Top sentence reads:

House prices rose in October at their fastest pace in 15 months, the Nationwide Building Society said on Tuesday, in another sign the property market is stabilising after a sharp slowdown in the last year.

Further down reads:

"Whichever way it goes, there is little scope for an acceleration in house price growth."

I think it's great news - no real reason not to bump up interest rates in 9 days time...back to 4.75 ?

This could be the most significant impact of all the VI spin. It seems that they may have been too successful in trying to talk the market up. Basically the down side pressure on interest rates are abating, so with inflation and US rate going up, next UK move could well be up.

If the MPC leaves it too long it may even have to put it up 0.5% (unlikely, but possible).
