Spork of Damocles Posted September 11, 2012 Share Posted September 11, 2012 whilst bits of london are doing well and other bits aren't,there seems a dsitinct north/south divide today. gota say tehre seems to be plenty ogf moeny about in the SE bidding up some BTL sh1tholes Posh bits of London doing OK. Lot 1 went very well for vendor. The Richmond ones did well. Obvious ex-council BTL stuff in south and east London not doing at all well – yields of >10% for the buyer rather than <5% that's been the norm in the past. Housing benefit changes possibly driving caution but whoever's bidding on this stuff isn't expecting capital growth. Just watching a bit of the video feed: Lot 97 - Romford for £145k "you won't ever get it at this money again" - other flats here sold between 180k-250k. Somehow, I doubt he's right.
