Amazingly this is the same area that I was on about the other day, the big houses on the Cassiobury!

I guess it's between this one and the one that I had an offer turned down on in May, see below.

Was up for £385k I offered £320k due to it being a state inside

I like the house at the begining of this thread. Needs a little work, but I like it. Assuming it's in a good area, the rest of the neighboorhood doesn't look like that, and you can afford both the house, and to finish it.

Have you given any thought to offering 300K to the one you offered 320K on?

He turned me down flat, despite me clutching a surveyors report saying basically it needed to be stripped back to the brickwork inside.

He dropped it £10k about 1 week later, and it' still sat there.

I've seen some lovely houses out there since, which in a greedy kinda way means I can't bring myself to offer him £300k, more like £285k!

As for the rest of the area, it's spotless. But I guess you always get one shizen house in every nice road.

Both of these examples are just that.

Still a stupid price. Heck, take the blinkers off for a moment and these are just pretty normal semis in Watford, that fairly normal people in fairly normal jobs would have bought a few years back. Cassiobury isn't Chelsea, even if it is now full of curtain-twitchin' Neighbourhood Watchers that have nothing better to do with thier time than try and get anything good about Watford (Rainbow Festivals) banned.

225k would be more like it.

Cheers for the honest opinion, it's been noted. :)

Incidently, are you from Watford? If so, what area's have you looked at?

You would of course, be wasting you time and money buying that place, when you could get 2, yes 2 nice 2 bed flats up the road at Cassio Metro. Might cost a bit more, but you would be well on the way to BTL millions :P .

Do most people on here live in Watford and Bristol !

For what it's worth, if an offer of £255 was accepted, I'd be in like Flynn.

For what it's worth, if an offer of £275 was accepted, I'd be in like Flynn.

Are you sure? I calculated that the inside needs approx £55k "Parts and Labour" so to speak
