Whats The Lag On Market Data?

Recommended Posts

Just checked the markets on BBC and bloomberg and it says

DJIA 10,229.95 -115.03 -1.11%

But the 10 O Clock news said at 10.35 that it only finished -88 points?

Is there an internet lag?

the bbc and bloomberg are correct - down 115

the u.s. market closes at 9 p.m. uk time excepts for a couple of weeks (or is it just one?) per annum when we change clocks a week earlier than them

note: just 'cos the Dow closes down it doesn't necessarily mean the FTSE will - oil price has a massive effect on th 2 indices - the Dow hates high oil prices, the FTSE loves it as about 23% of it's value is made up of BP. and Shell
