Jobs Back

'Abbey closes Indian call centres':

The bank is expected to issue a formal statement on its retreat later this year. It is still expected to cut 2,500 jobs next year and has already announced 4,000 redundancies.

These plans will not be affected by the return of the Indian jobs. Work in India will be scaled back before being shut down early next year. The workload will be transferred to Abbey call centres in Milton Keynes, Teesside and Glasgow.

Have we got a jobometer anywhere?

Here's one...

Not only are jobs continuing to be lost abroad but economic immigrants are still continue to flood into this small island and undermine wages for the locals.

Tesco loves it but sooner or later we will all have less to spend so it will go full circle

I am a consultant advising a very lage regeneration body in the Midlands.

Recently I have "hit the road" visiting several large melt casting/processing

foundaries in the area. The one thing I have noticed is the large amounts

of east europeans on the shopfloor. Spoke to one manager on Wednesday

he explain the locals are too lazy and just want to live on benefits.

The situation for the natives of this country is not good. Still most have their

houses which are worth a lot to look forward to.

Manufacturing in the UK is rapidly declining so the next 10 years will be

interesting for all.
