Possibly. Although it seems half of the US want to move to Fl to get away from their own areas. Long term probably a safe bet but it will suffer before that.

Do they still get federal insurance for this sort of thing in some coastal areas of florida?

I think there is some kind of aid package but I expect it's only a percentage, well at least you get to feel the sun on your skin every day here.....

Global warming will be the end for Florida most are not higher then 20FT above sea level!

I doubt it will go down with out a fight.
