Boom'n'Bust Posted October 24, 2005 Share Posted October 24, 2005 The story is about a very rundown end (Gordon Place, South Elmsall, Wakefield, West Yorkshire) and how locals are sick of the disgusting area where rats, drugs, arson attacks and empty smashed properties are everyday nuisance. Council has offered them £20,000 to buy the properties they live in. One of the resident's says something like "how the hell am I supposed to get on the property ladder with today's prices, with that sort of a low offer?"
