The satellite, with a transfer capacity of 20 Gbps and a designed orbital life of 15 years, was sent into orbit on a Long March-3B carrier rocket. It was the 246th flight mission by a Long March carrier rocket. https://www.rt.com/news/line/ Edited April 12, 2017 by Errol

Habeas Domus
Hu earned a good salary at around 9,500 RMB (1,500 USD) a month, but it still made buying an apartment anywhere else but in the farthest suburbs an impossibility. Property prices in China have been rising at nearly 10% a year. An average apartment in the city of Hangzhou was listed at over 275,000 USD, over 15 times Hu’s annual income. One may expect that a young man of Hu’s age might be content to rent. In China, however, one of the conditions for marriage is often home ownership, preferably one that is move-in-ready after the big day. Having no apartment of his own was a point of shame for Hu. http://peepsforum.com/winning-losing-modern-china/ Edit: they had the 15x multiplier wrong Edited April 17, 2017 by Habeas Domus

Errol
Note - The aim of Chinese carriers differs from the American aim. The Chinese aim is not power projection as such, but more control of the immediate areas in the China Sea and around Asia. Using their carriers in conjunction with the man-man islands in the South China Sea should enable China to effectively control trade routes and security.  China launches its 1st domestically-built aircraft carrier China has transferred its first indigenously built aircraft carrier into the water, expanding its fleet to two such vessels. The new carrier is slightly larger than the Liaoning, China’s first aircraft carrier, constructed by the Soviet Union as a Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier and refitted by the Chinese. The new carrier weighs 70,000 tons and is 315 meters long and 75 meters wide, South China Morning Post reported. https://www.rt.com/news/386150-china-launches-new-aircraft-carrier/
