Any Easy Way To Find If Particular Traffic Cameras...

I'm convinced there's a red light camera near me that has caught several people out without them realising it and it would be good to compare it to cameras within say a 10 mile radius. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if it was a cash cow. Is there an easy way to do this or is it FOI route?

I think it depends which public body the cameras fall under - I seem to recall that a lot of police forces and councils formed 'camera partnerships' to avoid the FOI act. I may be wrong.

After recent successes at PATAS regarding uncertificated CCTV Smartcars the pressure is mounting on councils to volunteer refunds or face investigation by the District Auditor and other agencies, especially if it becomes apparent that enforcement continued in the full knowledge of non-compliance.

My Local Council was informed that their methods of using Smart Cars for parking enforcement was illegal as they must install camera warning signs in areas where these cars operated. Not seen for awhile and now back, still no sign of warning signs being installed. Whenever I see them in action I take a photograph making sure the driver sees me and they drive off very quickly. They are operated by a private company on behalf of my Local Authority. B******s.

Good man tramp, perhaps you can start going one stage further and anonymously shop them?
