From Five Live Apparently

Recommended Posts

Charles in Wakefield tells Ed Miliband on Five Live:

“This is by no means a personal attack… but people don’t take you seriously and everyone knows you are not going to be Prime Minister of this country.”

Picked it up off Guido - don't really do Five Live much but it made me laugh.

It's all here!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/9126598/Sketch-Ed-Miliband-talks-to-the-public...-and-swiftly-regrets-it.html

In the end the cruellest comment came from someone who wasn’t even on-air. “The advice [Tony Blair] gives me,” said Mr Miliband, “is, ‘Be yourself.’” Surely not even Mr Miliband’s worst enemy would want him to do that.

I suppose the problem for Labour is "If not Ed, who?"

They have very few senior MPs who are not tainted by association with McRuin's administration. Also, the Party's finances do not help them distance themselves from another union approved leader who wouldn't necessarily be any better than the status quo.

His brother was far more plausible though whether that's still the case I'm not sure.

Best thing to happen to the Tory party was Ed.

Ed is just Liebour's version of what Willie Hague was last time around.....the guy who always wanted the leadership but too stupid to realise now was not the best time.

He deserves it if he couldn't see that he was greedily drinking out of the poison chalice handed to him by his own party.

The fact he was at the heart of creating the mess we're in means his karma has kicked in rather quickly.

None of the current crop have any Idea what its like for even vaguely ordinary people. They have never struggled to save for a house, or been unemployed or wondered where the next job was coming from. They have probably never even done simple things like walk or bike to save the bus fare, or turn down the heating and mentally tally what their shopping costs before they get t the till.

This is a massive problem for them, they can't actually come up with a realistic policy to address people's concerns, since they have no idea what they are.
