I know. I feel like coming up to Tewkesbury to take you out for a new, exciting experience like...a pint in the pub, a pizza in a restaurant with knives and forks, or a trip to the ten pin bowling alley.

But to be honest, I'm too scared. Do you own a pair of night-vision goggles? :(

Ive not got goggles but i do have a russian army issue night vision monoscope, i do kinda fit the profile of a serial killer / sociopath yet im still sh*te on the stock market.

Its not as bleak as it all sounds (until you hear about my childhood  ) i have a freedom that not many people on here can have, when i have said in the past that i have nothing to lose, i meant it (except my health of course) which again gives a great sense of freedom.

I could quite easily stop typing right now, stuff a change of cloths into a bag, get on a plane to australia/japan and just dissapear - never return, never look back, no dependants, nothing to return for, no future.

Its liberating otherwise it would just be plain depressing, of course from time to time i do hear the theme tune from dawsons creek rattling around in my head "i dont want to wait for my life to be over". Thats usually on special occassions though i.e new years eve.

kay sur raaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

:)

EDITED:

Oh and the reason why im spilling the beans like this is purely so the people who are still at home living with parents who maybe feeling a little dejected or inferior .. you know .. less of a MAN because of it. F*ck it and f*ck them (the people who make you feel inferior) and f*ck you for letting them do that to you.

Nearly 27, live with my mum in a council house, never left home, never had a gf, not alot of cash, no inheritance, nothing of any worth.

knock yaselfs out.

EDITED:

I forgot to mention, i go out 'socialising' about once every two months, by that i mean i go round a mates house and drink some warm beer, they are all settled with kids so the night is usually done by 11pm.

and i still get up every f*cking day(or night) to go to work.

Not going out cant be good... take up a hobby? every thought about sharing with mates?

still at home at 30.

that is sad beyond belief!

you may have a lot of cash but for fcuks sake you can't take it with you.

i am short of your age yet have spent the last ten years with my wonderful life partner (wife of 4 years now) through all kinds of interesting times. we have lived in 5 cities and moved more than nine times. it has been eventful, exciting and just plain unforgetable. find a good girl and rent. get the hell out of home. life is not as costly as you think if you are sensible!

we have less than half your savings and about 2/3 of your income. we manage very well and enjoy the important things in life. health, family, freedom and most importantly of all, home brewing and wine making!

"that is sad beyond belief!"

No Losing Faith......I think you should reserve that statement for when you hear of little children dying needlessly through malnutrition or war - that truly is sad beyond belief. Get things in perspective please....

"we manage very well and enjoy the important things in life. health, family, freedom and most importantly of all, home brewing and wine making!"

People who live with parents, y'know, they also have been known to have these things too....

a great post Chuz....I too feel the same way as you. There are a lot of people who have a habit of labelling people who live at home as social failures (probably in the same way as Thatcher saying that people who got public transport were failures). And of course, they all live such fantastic lives.....some even get to reach the dizzying heights of making home brew or wine in their lovely so called independence.

To dig in a prepare for whats coming means you may be better off for when things turn grim.

There is nothing left in Gordan Browns reserves for a private sector slump. Normally there would be 'automatic stablisers' which kick in spending money when the private sector suffers. They act like savings to smooth out the bad times till there is an upturn in investment and income.

Unfortunately, if the private sector suffers a downturn as consumption falls, the government deficit would start to increase from 3% of GDP to 7% of GDP to be met through borrowing or taxes. The mass immigration may lead to mass unemployment. If interest rates are kept low while materials rise there will be a horrific slump which will last many years.

if i remember rightly, me and my boys got you later at the youth hostel. trussed you up like a turkey and left you for dead in the dark. how did you escape ? i knew we shoulda wasted you...

youll never testify. not now. its been too long.you hear me charlie, too long....

edit* though seriously, i bet they were embarrased.....

made me laugh out loud.

the plus fours, badge and tartan flask. excellent,

It could be worse. You could work in an abitoir... you don't do you?

Seriously though. I don't think you will be judged, because of your honesty.

Btw, with the time and freedom you have, you could be an expert if you did take up a hobby or sport. Just a though!

I dont mind being judged when i dont recognise the authority :) I dont work in an abitoir, i electroplate things, im one of them people who go out of thier way to put animals out of harm, so a slice and dice aint really my thing.

Your right about having the time for a good hobby or sport at the moment though im working on transendental teleportation, i just cant quite get there for some reason, ill keep trying though

Not sure, eliphas levi dosnt make it at all clear so the way i figure it... I know where i am now so if i end up some place other than where i am now then i've probably done it. Its very hard to get lost when you dont have a destination.

It's not sad at all, I have got a girlfriend she has £25k in the bank, but both living at home we are saving a hell of a lot of money each month, when the prices return to normal levels we'll need a small pittance of a loan to buy our house, leaving us more disposable income to do the things we want to do.

I might not have done it right in the last 10 years but I won't compound those errors of the past by messing up the future.

isnt that similar to what happens when you are in non-deep sleep.

for example. i am able to fly through the air but i know it is just a dream,

i never see anything new, im not really there.

are you talking about actually going somewhere and witnessing something thousands of miles away ?

thats lucid dreaming that your having, which is basically a conscious awareness that your unconcious, traveling / seeing something that is thousands of miles away is astral projection / remote viewing.

Transcendental teleportation would be more like teleporting to a space or time that is beyond your senses.

Unfortunatly part of my problem is that i dont believe a word of it :) (lucid dreaming being an exception, its a fact)

dare i say that belief is a very large part of any esoteric system such as transcendental teleportation and you probably wont get very far - literally , metaphorically or transcendentally - without it.,

perhaps it *is* real and will work even though you are skeptical - like passengers getting on 10,000 ton steel ships being told they would not sink - and you can have some nice trips.

puts me in a catch 22, need to see it to believe it , need to believe it to see it, i like to give most things a fair chance though, had to read 7 of shakespears tragedies to reach the conclusion in todays world he is a melodrmatic plank.

still beats living life to the full :P

haha, she is soooo gonna ditch you.

renting will not break the bank. at just 20 years old i was feeling really depressed, mortified, belittled, pathetic, worthless at living at home. by 25 - 30 you must resemble a league of gentlemen character!

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

god bless ya all.

holy **** though, this thread has to be the weirdest ever on HPC :lol::lol:

Ive got a feeling ive hijacked it, sound like attention seeking to me, me me me always me me me  should get it back on track though..

Everything that ive put on this thread is genuine, and like i said in one of the posts ive only really said about it so other guys (guys especially because of the stigma) might feel a little better knowing that there is someone out there (on here) who is probably a bigger 'loser' , 'mummies-boy', social f*ck up than them. Alot of folks feel better knowing that there is someone 'worse' than them.

Oh i also forgot , im starting to lose my f*cking hair, i see it on my shoulders when im in the shower, i see it in the tub when ive finished showering, if i stand under a bright light you can easily see my skull. I reakon that by the time im 30 ill probably have some good male pattern baldness happening.

Im the daddy :)

EDITED:

You can easily see my scalp, if you could see my skull i would be in really deep sh*t :D
