pby
On Friday I could not believe what I was hearing whilst sat in the staffroom at school. 3 members of staff were talking about renting out houses when one said it isn't worth it now getting involved in renting a house out. Everything seems screwed, the economy and the market. You'll probably lose money doing it now, houses are meant to be falling again or at least not going up. Just thought this was interesting as I haven't heard anyone talk like this at work before. A sign things are beginning to hit home I wonder? Garf
If you can rent this, thank a teacher.
guitarman001
Not quite the same... but my barber today was talking about how there was a time to play the property game. He did and now lives in a house a barber 'should not be able to afford'. Add to that, he admits he has to pay loans/credit cards off (always a good thing). Goat
If you can rent this, thank a teacher. A result of long summer holidays and other opportunities to take time off?
neon tetra
A result of long summer holidays and other opportunities to take time off? Except a teacher can't just take time off when he or she feels like it.
spyguy
Except a teacher can't just take time off when he or she feels like it. I would gladly swapped 12 weeks of fixed holiday for 5 weeks of anytime holiday.
Mancghirl
I take it these teachers were over 50? This isn't the experience of younger staff at my school. Course, they get to keep their existing pension T & Cs as well.
