St Albans Area

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a 3 bed in Herts (just sold our flat, also in Herts). We're not fussy where as long as we can get to work within 45 mins (Hatfield) but still so disillusioned at the prices here. There are some dropping but only by £10k or so from a price of around £280k. We ended up selling for over £10k than asking, so I'm hoping we can put in some cheeky offers soon. St Albans is just a total no-go zone though. It's a weirdly priced area like an offshoot of London. Simply not worth the money, nice as it is.

Anyone else frustrated at how prices just aren't shifting?

Bump - still there, still horrible - at £230k today.

Starting to see some price drops in the area. However - Sister in law just sold her 2 bed semi in Herts for 1/3rd million and mate of mine just bought a 3 bed semi for 1/3rd million. Still people out there either with lots of cash or willing to borrow to the hilt. I have jsut been tentatively asking about borroing 70k on a 100k house and am being made to jump through hoops.

Edited to say that the 100k house is not in Herts...
