I'm certainly not seeing any shortage of housing where I live (Devon).

New builds all over the place, massive discounts, fees paid etc. Very few few selling.

Soaring house prices by 2026 could leave one in three thirty-something couples unable to afford their own home, the government has warned.

What information do they have to justify the statement "Soaring house prices by 2026" ?

"one in three thirty-something couples unable to afford their own home, the government has warned"

Then they say "Currently about 71% of UK households own their homes". Yeah, so about 1 in 3 off ALL households don't!??! So no change then.

I challenge anyone to find credibility in this article!
