Homes 'obscene'

Recommended Posts

Anger has been voiced by a Swansea councillor at empty properties on her patch.

Penllergaer councillor Wendy Fitzgerald hit out at properties in Upper Gorseinon Road. She said the situation, in which one house, where vegetation had been cut down and left in a big pile, was obscene.

Neighbours had to put up with "an horrendous mess".

Last year Councillor Fitzgerald hit out at the fact that properties had been left lying empty, dubbing parts of Penllergaer as like "shanty towns".

This is quite interesting. The Penllergaer suburb of Swansea has seen considerable new home, supposedly 'executive' home, development in the past few years. Several new estates have been built near the road in question. You would think that these would be snapped up!
