Hi,

We are currently renting and looking to purchase a detached house in the Camberley area. There is not a great deal of property that fits our requirements about and much seems overpriced.

It's clear that prices are continuing to fall. First it was the very overpriced stuff , now other houses seem to be reducing as well. Seems a good idea to wait and see.

Anybody got any information on this part of the world ?

Hi,

Yeah I was looking to buy around the Woking/Guildford areas, (with Camberley an option) about 2-3 months ago.

I lost interest and went down the renting path as I thought there were very few properties which offered any value, even in the current market context.

I had a quick look yesterday and of the 15 or so properties I viewed 50% have been removed from the EA website, 20% remain unchanged in price and the remaining 30% have dropped £5 - £15K, (circa £300K asking price properties).

An interesting point just to gauge the real mood of these EAs I was registered with, (IMO), is that fact that they continue to send me mail, SMS and email alerts even though I have confirmed I am no longer actively seeking a property.

Regards

No idea..
