Eu Fiddling While Rome (I.e. The World's Economies) Burns

Recommended Posts

The so-called 'leaders' in Europe are clueless as to what to do.

THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT GREECE HOLDS ALL THE CARDS AND THEY CANNOT FORCE GREECE TO DO ANYTHING!

While Merkel et al ponder week after week how on earth to get Greece to raise taxes and work harder ( ), GREECE SIMPLY SITS THERE AND WATCHES THE WORLD'S ECONOMIES CRUMBLE, WHICH IRONICALLY COSTs GERMANY ET AL FAR MORE

So, all this indecision by the EU to try and avoid the modal hazard of paying Greece's debts.TOO LATE! You already signed up to paying Greece's debts when you agreed to let them in the EU you fecking morons!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the EU's ineptitude. :(

It's just that old saying writ large: If you owe the EU banks Millions of Euro's, you are in trouble- if you owe Billions they are in trouble.

The only question is this- will the Germans be stupid enough to put their collective necks into the noose carefully prepared for them by the bankers- if they do it's party time on wall street- if not then it's game over for them- and maybe us too.

Trouble is- once the bankers have looted the last source of real money left, where does their next fix come from? It looks like cold turkey is coming either way.

They should just get on and all realise Greece NEEDS to default. There is no other answer. It will actually be cheaper than all this prevarication and deal with the state of banks and the true debt situation by bringing it out of the shadows. It's the worst kept secret in the world and is wrecking markets. Best to get it all over with quickly, then everyone can assess the real damage instead of taking on more debt to solve....debt. Yes, very painful. But currently we are experiencing death by a thousand cuts. I'd rather have a large slash I can see and get treated.
