The reporter questioned the DS on the case outside the Court and it appears that had the killing been successful, the girl and the family would have received £400,000! The 2 girls' 49 year old mother was in on it too. She is the adopted daughter of the grandfather. Also in on it was the 19 year old son and his 17 year old girlfriend. Names cannot be given due to the young ages of the 2 girls but some leagal arguements were taking place at Winchester Crown Court. The prosecution said the intention was to kill him for his money even though he had generously given cash for cars and horses for the family, which had been squandered.
