Economic Recovery At Risk As British Workers Become 'less Productive' That Wealthy Nations

Recommended Posts

The UK's economic recovery was thrown into doubt today as it emerged that Britain's workers are less productive than most of the world's wealthiest nations.

Gross domestic product (GDP) per worker in the UK - a broad measure for the value of goods per person in the country - fell relative to all G7 countries except Italy and Germany last year.

Overall, UK GDP per worker was only higher than Japan's measure in 2010, the Office for National Statistics said.

The ratio of public sector to private sector workers has increased????

Still at least it won't affect the UK's efforts to bring down the deficit.
