London Rental Market

Recommended Posts

It looks likes if we might have found some out-of-towner stupid enough to overpay for our central london slum dwelling to house his baby-banker offspring

Surprising and joyous as this event is, I guess we now have to find a place to rent

I'm thinking that Rightmove is probably home to the most overpriced properties in London

Does anyone have suggestions of where to find more reasonably priced flats?

(I'm more interested in value for money rather than cheap per se)

Thanks

Nowhere in central London, that's for sure!

On the Gumtree you will find private landlords, that should cut down on the crazy fees.

But be extremely careful. There are some serious scammers on there, although I've never had a problem myself.

What others areas of London might you consider moving to?

Probably rent close to where we live (scummy edge of zone 1)

We thought we'd work where we might move to out while we were renting
