Europe May Be Looking For A New 'mr. Euro'

Is Europe about to get a new Mr. Euro?

More than 18 months after Europe’s monetary union first toppled into trouble, officials are debating whether more streamlined decision-making — and better presentation — could help their epic battle with the financial markets.

France and Germany agreed last month that the leaders of the 17 countries of the euro zone should meet as a group at least twice a year under the chairmanship of Herman Van Rompuy, the president of the European Council. He currently runs summit meetings of the full 27-member European Union.

That has prompted speculation that Mr. Van Rompuy might also lead the monthly meetings of the Eurogroup, made up of euro zone finance ministers, a job held since 2005 by Jean-Claude Juncker, the long-serving prime minister of Luxembourg.

It doesn't matter how you dress up a great big pile of 5hit, ultimately it's a pile of 5hit.

Got to love the political elites being that deluded they think better presentation will somehow fix it all.

the only thing that will make it even vaguely sellable is for a MASSIVE re-establishment of the rights of individuals within a loosely bound group....which is the complete opposite of what the political class are seeking to achieve(because they know best of course....stop thinking little people).

it's precisely this holier-than-thou attitude of the political/corporate class that did for the french aristocracy last time,it did for hitler, and stalin too,but not before they had put their respective populations through hell on earth trying to realise their own delusions.

thjis is why I am saying that the best hope for ther world might actually come from these counties that have suffered so horribly under these previous regimes(I don't think that is the case yet, there are still some of the old guard that need to be disposed of).....but in the future I think it is a distinct possibility.

....our "intelligensia" ought to read more.....and understand people, not just learn by rote out of textbooks and debating societies...

..they might THINK they know it all,but how many of them actually do have the capacity to think for themselves?...all I've seen is re-gurgitation of marx/engels/jung etc...nothing really new and innovative, just 100 year-old hypotheses.
