Yet Another Mp With His Nose In The Trough

Recommended Posts

This time a Conservative MP. Another pig swilling away with no shame whatsoever...

"New figures reveal Laurence Robertson is spending up to £35,000 on his partner Annie Adams and up to £30,000 on his wife Susan Robertson.

Details published by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) show 37-year-old Miss Adams is employed as his office manager while Mrs Robertson, 56, works as his senior secretary"

"Mr Robertson, a practising Christian, provoked comment soon after entering the Commons in 1997 when he was spotted wearing socks bearing the message ‘Sex God’.

He also caused controversy five years later when he had an affair with Claire Parker, his blonde, married constituency secretary.

Despite the affair Mr Robertson remained with his wife, but the couple split three years later".

From Guido Fawkes...

Former Tory peer Lord Hanningfield is out today after serving just nine weeks in the slammer for his systematic gaming of the expenses system that netted him over £14,000 of taxpayer cash.

He was sentenced to nine months.

Spot on! We can't have Lords banged up in the slammer. Heavens above. What is this World coming to???

Now if you nick a bottle of Lucozade from Poundland during the riots that's another matter entirely...

‘She has never been in trouble before and on the night in question she was at a friend’s address and they knew about the riots in Peckham.

‘A decision was made to see what was happening.

"She went into store that had already been looted and took a bottle of Lucozade from the counter at Poundland.

She did not fully appreciate the seriousness of her actions.

‘She gave a full and frank interview to police.’

At Camberwell magistrates’ court, district judge Tan Ikram gave the youngster credit for her guilty plea but added: The court must consider a lengthy period of detention.’ :o

She was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on September 2.

The electorate has a very short attention span. The expenses thing is old and forgotten by most. Put in the memory bin along with journalist hacking, terrorism, global warming, and other flavour of the month strories.

I wonder if it even ranks in the top 20 of the electorates concerns?

Oh, these MPs - they crease me up with their rapier wit. Whatever next, a Daffy Duck tie? Lenny Henry would be proud of such hilarity - no actually, he would.

If you had convinced more of your neighbours to vote conservative, you could have that milf candidate wearing the sexgod socks, which would have made the joke slightly more palatable. ;)
