But what did they pay for it in the first place? fantasy asking prices are just that.. fantasy. reducing a fantasy pasking price is not really a price reduction.

There was a good 'fantasy' near here not so long ago - old house in fantastic location (own entrance to Richmond Park) bought by developers for £1M, demolished for incredibly high spec but v unconventional newbuild + stable, big article in a Sunday paper.

Went on market for £5M.

Finally sold for £2.83M.

Developers put in one of those 'living walls' - vertical mass of plants.

They've pretty much all looked dead for ages.

From zoopla...the average sold price for that road is:

Roman Road Zed-Index

£1,039,681

That includes years of over-priced sales though :lol:

exactly. so £1.1m isn't really a reduction.

Call me when it's on at £250,000.
