Britain's biggest banks are expected to be named in a series of multi-billion dollar lawsuits due to be filed in US federal court. More than a dozen of the world's top banks, which are likely to include Barclays, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland, are to sued by an arm of the US government for their role in the subprime mortgage fiasco.
