Might be some interest.

Maybe so......He seems to have a number of sympathisers

Lets not forget, he claimed parliamentary expenses for a flat which he let to tenants!

Whilst also claiming for expenses on his grace and favour home in Downing street! [under a corrupt secret expenses system.]

He then flipped the designation of his first and second homes, continuing to flip this designation four times in as many years, whilst claiming expenses for personal tax advice, [presumably on how to best benefit from the crooked secret flipping expenses system,] which he was making personal profits from........

Vince Cable called for his resignation, saying he had been "caught with his fingers in the till"

[He also had to repay service charges for his london flat, and underestimated the figure by almost 50%]

But hey......................he was just playing by the rules.................

It just how much of a sh1tty troughing cabinet Labour were when Darling is widely considered to be the innocent squeaky clean one......

Alistair Darling - Used second homes' allowance for family house in Edinburgh, then in September 2005 designated this his 'main home' and used taxpayers' money to buy a flat in Oval, south London.

Not saying he was a saint, just saying he will be on the box and we might get a bit more insight into the collapse.

He should be asked these questions:

Was there ever any political will to enable the average person earning average wage to be able to afford an average house in a rising unregulated market, under a secret expenses system, whilst MP's were all flipping houses, making hundreds of thousands in personal profits?

If politicians are no longer allowed to make personal profits, from taxpayer funds, should they repay all profits on second homes? Backdated to the beginning of their tenure. Isnt that merely fair? And simply the right thing to do?

If politicians like yourself Alistair, used our money to profit, and paid no tax on the gains, it is also true to say that you created a dangerous conflict of interest that meant that voting for policies which fed the house price bubble, for so many years, such as keeping IR too low for too long, lowering CGT, also generated personal profits for you, in secret?

In any other profession this would be a criminal offence. Wouldnt it? It is market manipulation. Far worse than insider trading. Isnt it?

But of course they wont be asked any questions of merit, because we have a complicit Mainstream Media, who desperately attempt to give the impression of impartiality, fairness and democracy, when in fact they are full of shit, and all their questions are designed to keep the status quo ticking over.

You are right though, his personal conduct was disgraceful. Were these payments within the law? That should have been for a jury to decide.

The Police failed us as well.

The staff at Atlantic Books?

Darling's doing at lot of interviews to flog his book.

I was almost tempted to buy the Kindle version but I'll wait for the (*ahem*) "unauthorized" version to appear.
