House Price Crash Forum

Recommended Posts

I wish to nominate the EA trying to sell http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-18334446.html?utm_source=rmrssfeed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=buying - three photos for a house costing half a million quid, not one of the inside?

It says 'in need of updating', hence no interior shots.

There's usually a reason. Might be seriously old-fashioned and a lot of people are easily put off.

What I call lazy and useless is no floor plan or even (sometimes) no room sizes.

How such EAs stay in business at all defeats me.

"Please not this photo has been taken using a zoom lens"!!!

You should see the view from my attic with a zoom lens - practically on the beach I tell ee!

Pedant mode: ON

He should really say telephoto lens (assuming that's what he means).

A zoom lens is any lens with variable focal length, is could be wide angle for all we know.

Pedant mode: OFF

If it was indeed a telephoto lens (one in which the physical length of the lens is shorter than the focal length http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephoto_lens).

Perhaps "long-focus lens" would be more accurate...

Do they really mean £410K or is this a typo? Surely it's worth half that tops.

Nah - £275k on a good day :)

As a wrote previously somewhere, news of the recession / downturn hasn't quite reached Cornwall. Many inhabitants still think Queen Victoria's still on the throne.
