n. Slang

1. One who suffers delusions of grandeur and acts in a financially reckless manner.

Examples:

"That tragic, naive young woman. She fell for the faux feminist propoganda of shampoo ads and the Spice Girls and went on a lender bender."

"Gordon Brown? He bankrupted Britain going on a lender bender."

I see, it's actually a "verbal noun", to go on a "lender bender" rather like go on a "run"

I'd thought it might be a pronoun, ie a Lender Bender being some sort of "Bent Mortgage Broker", ie 'I am just off to see my Lender Bender as I'd like to take out a liar loan'

:lol: Good call. The phrase "going on a bender" means indulging in a reckless drinking spree, so I am told. ;)
