It's Hit £1133 Per Oz !

Recommended Posts

Huge rise today with gold hitting £1133 or $1871 per ounce! Thats a crazy amount for just 4 sovereigns!

A few years ago I was buying sovereigns at just £80 a pop - glad I started when I did now.

At an increase of 27% on the year to date, where is it going to end?

Cheers

It is nuts isn't it?!

What really concerns me is that the sh!t has yet to really kick off. I'm beginning to think the predictions of $5000+ aren't as mad as they once seemed.

Better keep dithering over my old and broken jewellery, then.

I've 'nearly' sent it off to HGM at least twice.

Which reminds me, where the hell did I hide it all?

Gold is now down to £1,111, today it went up £20 and then back down £25.

The oscillations are getting larger and larger which indicates the whole system is becoming more and more unstable.

And add to that, the situation when people start demanding their physical gold - as Venezuela - as opposed to being happy with just paper....

...he price will really start to rise.

You won't be saying that when it breaks $22,000 an ounce

Heh! Me too. I was going to sell my jewellery stash last week when the price hit $1750 (a price I'd decided on a couple of years ago) but again haven't got round to it. I think when I do redeem it I'll put it in a S&S Isa but really don't have a clue how to go about it. (I'm not investment savvy).

Peter Schiff said a few years ago that he expected we would see daily $100 movements in gold, it looks like we are well on our way to that level of volatility.
