'tear Up The Sentencing Guidelines And Jail Every Looter': Crackdown On Looters Revealed

Magistrates have been ordered to send all those involved in last week's riots and looting to jail, a court heard today.

Chair of the bench at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court, Novello Noades, revealed the instructions while sentencing one looter to six months in prison.

London courts had allegedly been emailed by a clerk within HM Courts and Tribunals Service, telling them to ignore normal guidelines which might have recommended non-custodial sentences for riot-related cases.

....

Ms Noades said: 'Our directive for anyone involved in the rioting is a custodial sentence. That is the directive we have had - it is a very serious matter.'

So at what cost will this be? We've seen someone jailed for taking £3.50 of water, I think for 6 months it's clear that a message is being sent out which on some levels I'm not objecting too, but jailing people who've never been in trouble before seems excessive for stupidity, whereas I'm sure gang members will escape with far light sentences.

I've still not read of one gang member so far being jailed for a significant length of time. Although there is this case. Are the gang members in jail protesting their innocence as they know the criminal system quite well?

Plus if we are going to jail every idiot that took part in this where's the jail space coming from? Prisons appear to be at near capacity so the only way to get these people in is to let others out? But what sort of criminals are we letting out to jail first time offenders?

Also no banker will be jailed for economic vandalism on a far greater scale.

They can't have the vermin underclass rioting can they?

Typically, the government reaction is stick rather than carrot.

But what do you do when you have created state ghettos like Tottenham and Toxteth where a large percentage of the population are state dependents? It's taken 65 years to construct this socialist dystopia so the answers ain't gonna come easily

What they should do is create the conditions for crreativity and enterprise. These people need jobs where they can earn enough money to be self reliant. No politicians will do anything that will fix these problems. They are beating their drums and talking hard but it wont actually solve the underlying problem.

Meanwhile, our delightful politican elite continue the "loot" the taxpayer for their flat panel TVs and porn movies.

They are duplicitous oily misanthropes. Actually, I view the political elite with even more disdain than I do the feral scum.

Yep, and it seemed like such a good idea at the time, 65 years ago...

The deconstruction will come faster than you think. The money has run out to keep and bribe order. They have one last gambit left and that is the printing press. Which is still on a road to oblivion anyway.
