15K House

Recommended Posts

Sounds about right...

12/10/2000 74, Canada Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M40 8AE - £9000

09/07/2002 78, Canada Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M40 8AE - £11,000

No wonder number 80 is a repo:

27/07/2007 80, Canada Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M40 8AE - £55,000

Looking forward to seeing this on Homes under the hammer. The buyer will pay over the odds for it. He will put in a new kitchen, central heating system, boutique bathroom and a complete redecoration on a reported budget of 500 pounds and a curly wurly.

Two spikey haired bellends will come in, look at the ceiling in every room and declare that it's worth 95K.

Maybe if they try giving the area a new name too, like Miles platting Village or the golden area of Miles platting palace Park, they will get £150k!

Ooh! :)

IIRC, on one of the 'Homes Under the Hammer' repeats (filmed 2008/9) on a couple of weeks ago, a house on Canada St. went to auction. If I am correct then that house sold on HUTH was number 86 - 3 houses up from the one in the link. I think it sold for £27k as a shell of a house. I think the gel haired brigade valued the finished article @ £70k...

Checking the Google Street View reveals that there is a 'Pugh - For Auction' sign on the wall so it seems to point to that house. However there are no sold property prices indicated for Canada St since late 2007...

The plot thickens...

Ahhhh streetview makes it look like such an attractive area with all that corrugated iron and boarded up front doors. Reminds me of moss-side in the 90s. Lovely times.

These dumps are all the same. Even back in 94 I saw some like this for 25,000.

It will definitely go for more than 15K. But it will not go for more than 30K, impossible. You could buy one for cash at 30K easily.

These terraced areas in Manchester are total dumps, I know this from personal experience.
