What's The Best Way To Short Us Bonds

Recommended Posts

On futures and spread betting I'm limited to the Sept '11 contract...

I don't know but before you do.

I suggest a short visit to the Bond Shorters cemetery in Tokyo where the careers of thousands of highly astute hedge funders and fund managers now rest in peace.

:)

Bonds fell sharply after both QE and QE2.

Well the two main store of reserve wealth by government are aT-bills an gold, when one goes up in value the other usually goes down - place your bets accordingly.

There are some US bonds ETFs you can short (TLT, IEF and SHY for long, medium and short bonds). I'm not sure IGIndex is the right platform for these though.
