Just How Left Wing Is The Bbc News?

Recommended Posts

Just been watching BBC news 24 about the riots.

Almost all the questions asked by the reporter of various people concern the Police.

Did they react adequately (ie Journalists have made enough fuss over the years about Police 'over-reaction', perhaps the Police are going too softly)

Why did the Chief Superintendent go on holiday? In the next breath they tell us that the riots could not be anticipated and were probably outsiders anyway. (are the BBC guilty of ramping up the tensions by spurious criticisms such as this?)

I got the impression that the underlying thrust was to get a senior Police Officer to state that they did not have enough resources and that it is the fault bof the Coalition Government.

Why are gangsterism and drug dealing described as 'sensitive issues'

The Police were asked if there is tension between them and Tottenham youth. ell in an area awash with drugs and apparently guns, of course there is. Why do the BBC turn this into a criticism of the Police?

Basically, from what I can see, a gang of yobboes got oiut of hand and caused a lo of damage. But the BBC seem determined to turn this into a left wing fest.

They keep wittering on about questions the family have and not getting any answers. Everyone, Police, Politicians and journalists pussy foot around this.

What questions for goodness sake? Nobody tells us. The reason is that there is more power to suggest that there are lots of questions and the Police are not answering. To actually voice the so called questions will show just how banal they are. All left wing tactics. You could see in the Norway (Anders Breivik) tradgedy that British Journalists were out of their depth, desparately trying to drum up criticism of the Norwegian Police and getting nowhere from a people not brainwashed by British Left wing journalism.

Enormous numbers of people have been protesting in Israel about the cost of living and high house prices. They even have a camp in the city named Tahrir Corner. Except for one brief mention, this has been studiously ignored by the BBC.

As always; the BBC is dominated by left wing elitists with identikit Guardian statist opinions who will do all they can to get Liebour back in asap and keep their obscene gravy train going. The are experts on every gramscian trick, a number of which you identify. As for Israel, that story will never be given anything beyond the minimum coverage as is associates a country they hate with the kind of peaceful demonstration they claim to love.............all weigh too off message a link for the BBC unlike poor ethnic minorities rioting and the fact the police and the indigenous population must be to blame.

Oh, I dunno. Questions like did the guy who was shot actually fire at all? There are rumours that the bullet which hit the policeman was actually from a police gun.

You seem to want everything to be clear cut but unfortunately it isn't.

Buy the full 5 season boxset of The Wire, watch it all, then come back to your original post.

....

I had to laugh at the BBC R4 story about the looting this morning at about 8:15 - they interviewed a guy with a west indian accent describing how things were going to hell in a handcart and how he witnessed 'an english family' loading stuff from PC world into a shopping cart. I just had the bizzare image of a middle class family from Hampstead in Boden gear with kids called Rupert and Tara looting cheap laptops into the back of their Volvo .

Id say similar to fox on the right.

BBC doesnt get quite the same kicking because

1) Its a more subtle bias: Fox will take a republic stance on MSM stories (ie liberal stories), whereas BBC will choose typically left wing topics (ie global warming)

2) BBC is very sober in its presentation. Fox is like the Sun televised, very tabloidy, hard to take it seriously.

3) Its London centric, and London is a moonbat-loony-left place.

An ex-gaolbird with a gun gets shot and I am supposed to get all upset about it?

So a bullet bounced off something and hit a police radio (If that's what really happenned) suddenly makes it all different.

Gosh, perhaps the Police fired first!!!

Oh my lefty sainted Aunt, cannot allow the Police to fire until one of them is killed can we.

Instead of The Wire, read the coverage of the Mods and Rockers riots in the 1960's, then you will appreciate just how brainwashed we are all becoming. We get selective news, censored by the BBC and subtly slanted towards left wing propaganda.

Totally lawless gangs wrecked Tottenham, but the BBC is frantically trying to shift the blame away from them. Because the Police are legally barred by sub judice from answering and rarely sue, they are fair game.

The fact is, our media seems so soaked in left wing fantasy that the very idea that a person should have to take personal responsibilty for their actions goes against all their cuddly, lovey dovey, 'we are all in it together' cradle to grave, caring sharing nonsense.

Why did the Chief Superintendent go on holiday?

Lazy lazy journalism. And so friggin what if Cameron etc are on holiday too?

I suppose it's just too unpalatable to say "gangs of young black youths had an orgy of crime".

Well, I said for them.

Is the BBC left wing?,Yes.Is It pro Labour? No. I would say that before Cleggy took up with the Eton Mafia they were Pro Lib Dem.Much more left than Labour.

Part of the problem for the BBC is the way it interprets its duty of impartiality.

It seems to think this means "letting everyone have their say"; the problem is that there is no end of pressure groups who want more money spent on hospitals/schools/the elderly etc but few at the other end of the spectrum.

You may have a point there, if you part of some scheme thats getting axed or its budget cut your be on the bbc up in arms. If your not part of this scheme thats being cut you tend to not give a sh*t and so won't go on the bbc moaning that it should be cut.

The beeb isn't really lefty so much as it is big state.

They are quite happy to get mawkish over returning soldiers, horse guards parades, royal weddings and all the establishment rest of it which your typical lefty wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

I suspect they have questions about the police conduct because one of the jobs of the media is to keep the judicary and rozzers in line for the PTB.

That's a cracking good idea for its own sake, excellent series.

Your point simply doesn't make sense I'm afraid. Why would a 'statist' and 'elitist' organisation be critical of the police?

It is not that hard to grasp - because the police do not yet universally adhere to the same leftist agenda as the BBC and therefore will be criticised till they do.

It is basic left wing tactics to undermine anything that the proletariat consider part of their own stablity. By making all things that seemed rock solid, appear to have feet of clay, the Marxist is able to claim that his way is far better. That is why Marxists attack the 'Bourgeois'. It is because they are successful and have no need of left wing ideas.

Sorry, that sounds like nonsense. Statists don't attack or undermine those that protect the state. Either you're wrong about the BBC being statists, or you're wrong about them attacking the police.

I understand that it's part of a right wing fantasy that the left can simultaneously disrespect the noble forces of law and order and preside over a police state, but in reality it just doesn't make any sense and requires the sort of twisting and turning you display above.

The police need some agency that keeps them in check.

Generally this is the media - as using the army has massive risks.

On occasion, maybe, but the police seem to be doing exactly as expected of them at the moment.

I don't think that it is nonsense, seeing that it is a leftist tactic.

The left do not envisage a Police State, simply the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, which in their view would make Police unnecessary, perhaps with a Citizen Militia to keep order against counter revolutionaries.

The fact that Soviet Russia turned into a Police State under Stalin was considered to be a very temporary solution on the road to a socialist utopia.

Just that Stalin got a taste for power.

It was very noticeable last night that even the BBC was overwhelmed by the number of incidents, so they began using Guardian reporters to telephone in reports!
